Highway M-26 in Twin Lakes,Toivola, MI 49965; Phone: (906) 288-3321. The most popular feature is the sandy, warm beach on Lake Roland that is shallow enough for young children. Open for day use for travelers and area residents. Beach House, Picnic Tables, and a Playground for the kids. 1.5 mile Nature Trail. Lake Roland also offers anglers walleye, crappie, bass and an occasional tiger muskie. Boat ramp. Take M-26 southwest of Houghton 23 miles. 61 campsites. Across from the Bill Nicholls Multi-Use Trail. Cross-country ski trails (not groomed).

 

The Keweenaw Peninsula, also known as the "Copper Country" is the northernmost part of the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. The Keweenaw is well known for its outstanding fishing, old copper mines and ghosts towns, and snowmobiling.
