RENTAL CABINS
The West Shore Resort is centrally located on the western shore of Lake Gogebic and offers eight comfortable cabins. All the cabins have a knotty pine interior and are the same except for the interior colors and furnishings. The cabins have two bedrooms furnished with a double bed in each bedroom. The bathroom has a tub/shower combination. Bedding, pillows, and towels are furnished for our guests. Each cabin has a charcoal grill for outdoor cooking.
The living area has a sofa bed, chairs, Dish TV with VCR/DVD players, and Wi-Fi. The kitchens are equipped with a gas stove, refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker, and a toaster. We provide cooking and dining utensils, dish soap, paper towels, and garbage bags. The cabins are heated with a gas furnace so you will be comfortable on the coolest days.

There is a nice gentle slope down to the lake. Bring your own boat for fishing and water fun or we offer boat rentals. There are several docks for your boat, sunning, or enjoying the stunning sunrises.
FISHING in LAKE GOGEBIC
Lake Gogebic is a large lake with a variety of fish to tantalize the angler. Anglers will find Walleye, Northern Pike, Perch, Smallmouth Bass, and pan fish, delicious cooked on the charcoal grill. If you bring your own boat, we have an onsite boat ramp, docks, and boat lifts (depending on your boat) for guests to use. We offer fishing boats with motors and pontoon boats for rentals by the ½ day, day, or week. We have live bait and there is a fish cleaning station with running water. Great fishing year round.

The Lake Gogebic area is surrounded by the Ottawa National Forest and offers outstanding recreational opportunities for all from a slow stroll on a path through the woods to more strenuous activities such as hiking, running, and skiing. Hunters will love the huge public forestlands for large and small game. We have easy access to the ATV and Snowmobile trails for great riding

INTERESTING THINGS TO DO
There are several beautiful waterfalls nearby such as Bond Falls, one of the most beautiful waterfalls in the Upper Peninsula. Some might enjoy visiting the Porcupine Mountains Wilderness State Park, tour a copper mine, visit the Ontonagon historical Museum and Lighthouse, walk along the Lake Superior Shoreline and look for agates, try your luck at the casino, and or relax and enjoy the beautiful scenery.

After your adventure, return to the West Shore Resort and sit around the campfire roasting marshmallows and gazing at the clear night sky.
WINTER FUN
There are hundreds of miles of groomed trails leading all over the western Upper Peninsula, known as “Big Snow Country”. Bring your sled or snowmobiles can be rented nearby. We have a heated repair garage available for guests if needed and lots of room for parking your trailers.
