Comfortable lodging on the shores of
Lake Superior, 5 miles west of Ontonagon, MI and 8 miles
east of the Porcupine Mountains Wilderness State Park in the
Upper Peninsula of Michigan.
Superior Shores Motel and Cottage Resort features 7
motel units and 3 townhouse style cabins on the sandy Lake
Superior beach, with a view of the Porcupine Mountains in
the distance.
The
motel units are equipped with cable TV, HBO, shower, table
and chairs, a small refrigerator, and a coffee maker. Motel
units have queen or full sized beds, bunk beds, or a king
unit. Lakeside and lakeview units available.
Townhouse style cottages are by the beach with a
lakeview and have cable TV, HBO, showers, full kitchen,
coffee maker, and toaster. Full sized bed or queen sofa bed
in the living area. Sleeping loft upstairs with full or bunk
beds. |

Grills, picnic tables, and lawn chairs are available
for our guests. Enjoy the sandy beach and glorious sunsets
over Lake Superior. Wood is provided for a bonfire on the
beach where you can have fun roasting marshmallows or just
relax under the awesome night sky.

Take a ride up to beautiful Lake of the
Clouds where a short walk will take you to a breathtaking
view of this lake surrounded by the Porcupine Mountains. The
Park is absolutely brilliant in the fall when the trees
change color. Miles and miles of trails for spring, summer,
and fall hikes and cross country ski trails when the snow
flies. The Porcupine Mountains Downhill Ski Area offers fun
skiing and outstanding views of Lake Superior from the top
of the mountain. |
The nearby Ottawa National Forest offers hiking and
mountain
biking trails, fishing, hunting, canoeing,
kayaking, and winter sports and many beautiful waterfalls to
visit, so start planning your fun vacation in the Ontonagon
area of the Upper Peninsula.
