Please keep your pets on a leash when they are outside and do not leave them unattended. Pets are also welcome on most all trails in the forests as long as they are on a leash, so your pet can also have a wonderful vacation.

Enjoy the evening campfire where you can roast marshmallows and enjoy the peaceful evening.
Fire up the grill in the Bears Den Pavillion for a cook-out.

We also have fish & game cleaning station available so it is easy to prepare your fish for a delicious fish fry or to freeze and take home with you.

We have a large circle driveway with plenty of parking space for your boat, ATV, and snowmobile trailers and gas is available near the resort.

Running Bear Resort has 14 acres of wooded property and is surrounded on 3 sides by the Ottawa National Forest so you can enjoy exciting outdoor adventures right outside the door of your cabin where you will find hiking, ATV, and snowmobile trails. ATV and Snowmobile Rentals are available at Headwaters Polaris in Watersmeet.

The Park, just a short distance past the Bond Falls Outpost on Bond Falls Road, offers a nice sandy beach with picnic tables, grills, and a playground for summer fun and swimming. Several picnic and sandy swimming areas are nestled in the woods along the shoreline. A delightful spot to spend the day.

Nearby Bond Falls is one of the Upper Peninsula's most picturesque waterfalls with a nice viewing and picnic area. The new road to the bottom of the falls and the new boardwalks make Bond Falls easily accessible for most visitors.

The town of Watersmeet and Bruce Crossing are nearby for shopping and golfing, and there is a casino in Watersmeet.
