The Au Train River Cottages are located in a wooded area in a private condo association on the shores of the AuTrain River. Cottages have Wi-Fi and a complete kitchen.. Each cottage has a canoe with paddles and life jackets for gu ests to use. There is a gas grill complete with tools for your outdoor cooking and a fire pit by the river for evening campfires.
There is a nice area by the river for sitting and relaxing or swimming in the water. A 17’ canoe with life jackets and paddles is included in the rental so you can enjoy a leisurely paddle down the AuTrain River. Shuttle serv ice is available so you can take your time paddling to the next bridge or all the way to Lake Superior. The AuTrain River meanders through the Hiawatha National Forest where you can enjoy watching the wildlife or having a picnic lunch. A delightful way to spend a day or an afternoon. There is also a fishing boat with a motor available for rent in case you would like to fish or go for a boat ride on AuTrain Lake.

TWO-BEDROOM COTTAGES.
| ROBINS NEST COTTAGE The Robins Nest has a wood interior, a double bed in the master bedroom and a twin bunk bed set in the second bedroom. There is a sleeper sofa in the living room for additional sleeping. Cottage has a full size kitchen, f ull size bathroom, A/C, Wi-Fi, 32" HDTV and cable. There is a large porch facing the river to relax and take in the beautiful view. This cottage will sleep up to 6 guests. |

| MOUNTAIN ASH COTTAGE Mountain Ash has a wood interior and an old fashioned cottage feel. There is a queen bed in the master bedroom and a full size bed with twin bunk in the second bedroom. The co ttage has a full size kitchen, full size bathroom, A/C, Wi-Fi, 42" HDTV with Cable and a nice utility room to store your belongings to keep them out of the way. Nice porch in front with a beautiful view and steps from the river.&nbs p;The deck has a large gas grill (propane included) overlooking the river. Great for relaxing after a busy day enjoying the area. |

TWO BEDROOM COTTAGE WITH LOFT
| WHITE COTTAGE The White Cottage has a log interior with two bedrooms and a loft. 46" HDTV with cable. There is a queen bed in one bedroom and a double bed in the other. The loft is furnished with a queen bed and a double bed. Two futons in th e living area for extra guests. This cottage will sleep from 2-10 guests. |

The Two Bedroom Cottages are completely renovated and will accommodate up to 4-6 guests.
Both cottages have a 32" HDTV with Netflix
Complete kitchen that is fully stocked with paper towels, hand towels, spices, and a coffee maker, coffee included.
There is plenty of storage space and a table with 4 chairs for dining.
Bed linens, blankets, and pillows are furnished for our guests.

The one-bedroom cottages are perfect for a couple but will accommodate up to 4 guests. Both cottages have a 32" HDTV with Netflix and Wi-Fi. There is a gas stove for a little additional heat when needed. We have games and ca rds for guests to use. The bedroom is furnished with a double bed with a 3” memory foam mattress topper that provides extra comfort. There is a bathroom with a shower. Linens, towels, and paper products are furnished for our guests.< /strong>
Both cottages have a complete kitchen with a stove, refrigerator, microwave, toaster, a coffee maker with coffee along with dishes and cooking utensils. There is a gas grill complete with tools for your outdoor cooking and a fire pit by the river for evening campfires.

FOUR BEDROOM COTTAGE

The FOUR BEDROOM COTTAGE offers a 46” Cable HDTV with Wi-Fi and easily accommodates up to 10 guests. The bedrooms are furnished with a queen bed in two bedrooms, a double bed in the third bedroom, and two twin beds in the fourth bedroom. There is a pullout couch in the living room for extra guests. There are 4 kayaks in the garage for guests to use and storage for your gear. There is a large area for parking. The lot next door offers private access to the river, a fire ring, and a picnic table.

| WOODLAND RETREAT (Sleeps 2-8) Located in the town of AuTrain, the Woodland Retreat is a 2-bedroom mobile home that is fully stocked with all the amenities. There is a queen bed in one bedroom and a full size bed in the other with a futon and a pull-out couch for extra guest s. Cable TV, Wi-Fi, gas grill, canoe, and garage. Only a short walk to the AuTrain Beach on Lake Superior and a few minutes from Munising and the Pictured Rocks. Across the street from the AuTrain River for launching your canoes and kayaks. |

| LAKE SUPERIOR LODGE (Sleeps 10-14) Located on the shore of Lake Superior just outside the town of AuTrain. The Lodge has all amenities included. Large 2nd level deck with patio furniture. There are 4 bedrooms, two with queen beds, one with a full and the 4th has twin f ull size bunk beds. There are two pullout couches in the game room on the first level for a total sleeping capacity of 10-14. There are two full size bathrooms. Gas grill with propane, bedding, towels, and linens, Wi-Fi, and Netflix streaming service. The shore of Lake Superior is rocky and you cannot moor it in front of the Lodge. The boat launch for Lake Superior is less than one mile away. |

Recreation abounds in Alger County and the area around AuTrain. Hike on the trails in the Pictured Rocks, on Grand Island, or the Songbird Trail at the boat landing on AuTrain Lake and learn the birds by their songs; explore a variety of waterfalls; or take a cruise on Lake Superior. The beautiful Lake Superior Sand beach is only 1 mile from the cottage or there is a nice swimming beach at the campground on AuTrain Lake. There is easy access to the ATV trails for some fun riding in the Hiawatha National Forest.

Munising is only a short distance from the cottage for shopping and dining and there is a casino in Christmas on Highway M-28.
Fall brings gorgeous color to the area and is a photographers delight; so don’t forget your camera. Hunters will find hundreds of public lands in the Hiawatha Forest for hunting large and small game.

Winter activities are sure to please outdoor lovers as Alger County gets major winter snow. Snowmobile on the hundreds of miles of groomed trails or go cross country skiing at Valley Spur, the Christmas trails, or trai ls in the Pictured Rocks Lakeshore. The adventurous might try ice climbing designated cliffs in the Pictured Rocks Lakeshore.
Easy access to ATV and Snowmobile Trails.
