Manistique East Breakwater Light. This picturesque red lighthouse is on the end of the breakwater at the east end of the harbor where the Manistique River flows into Lake Michigan. It can be conveniently viewed from the Boardwalk or the Park near the Harbor and Marina.

Munising Coast Guard Station near the end of Sand Point Road in the Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore has the 36' motor lifeboat, "Grand Marais" on display in the old boathouse.

Mountain Biking in the Ottawa National Forest - The Ottawa National Forest in the western Upper Peninsula provides a wide variety of mountain biking opportunities ranging from well maintained and signed loops to more challenging cross country travel. Almost all of the entire forest is open to mountain bikes.

Munising Area Recreation and Attractions. Things to see and do while you are visiting Munising, AuTrain, Christmas, and the Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore.

Nicolet National Forest in northeastern Wisconsin is just 20 miles from Iron Mountain MI. Four seasons of recreation may be enjoyed in the Nicolet - hiking, camping, biking, fishing, swimming, canoeing, bird watching, horseback riding, berry picking, hunting, cross country skiing, snowshoeing and snowmobiling. The Nicolet contains Whisker Lake Wilderness, over 7,500 acres of remote dedicated wilderness with walk in camping, fishing and canoeing. The Nicolet is not heavily used and offers a real opportunity to "get away from it all".

North Shore Campground is located on Lac Vieux Desert near the border between Land O’ Lakes, Wisconsin and the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. Off-Roading north of Newberry in the Lake Superior State Forest. Ride the designated trails and back roads of Luce County.

Ojibwa Campground and Marina is located on the shoreline of Keweenaw Bay by Highway US-41 on the north side of Baraga. The campground offers wooded and lakefront sites with electricity, water, a picnic table, and fire pit. There are restrooms with showers, RV dump station, a playground, and a pavilion for events.  Sandy swimming beach. The Marina offers rental slips and a boat launch for great fishing or boat ing on Keweenaw Bay of Lake Superior. The nearby Historic Sand Point Lighthouse is not open but you can walk on the grounds. Ontonagon County: Attractions and Recreation near Ontonagon MI. Things to see and do while you are visiting Ontonagon, Mass City, Greenland, Silver City, White Pine, and the Porcupine Mountains Wilderness State Park.

Ontonagon Lighthouse. Open for tours Monday through Saturday at 11am, 2pm, & 4pm during the summer or by appointment. Stop by the Ontonagon Historical Museum to start your tour. The 39' lighthouse tower is open for climbing and offers a wonderful view of the area. The first lighthouse was built in 1851-52 and replaced by this cream brick building in 1866. Replaced in 1963 by the West Pier Light.

Pine Mountain Ski Jumping Complex, Iron Mountain, Michigan. Continental Cup Jumping. Giant Pine is one of the highest artificial ski jumps in the world. The Current Hill Record was set at the Continental Cup Competition in 2006 by Stefan Kaiser with a jump of 468 feet. Every year in mid February, ski jumpers from all over the world gather at Pine Mountain to challenge the hill and try to break the North American Record. See the jump year-round to imagine the thrill of ski jumping.
