Located only 10 miles south of Munising, Our Place Up North is a three-bedroom, 2-bathroom vacation home on Powell Lake in the Hiawatha National Forest. The large open living area offers comfortable seating with a nice view of the lake, a wood-burning fireplace, and is air-conditioned. The den has Satellite TV with VCR and DVD players. There is a queen-size sleeper sofa for extra gu ests. The modern kitchen has a microwave, coffee maker, and what you need for cooking and dining. Wi-Fi
There is a king-size bed in one bedroom, a queen-bed in the second bedroom, and the third bedroom has twin bunk beds. One bathroom has a tub and the second bathroom has a shower with a washer and dryer. Bed linens, tow els, and paper products are furnished for our guests.
There is a deck on front of the house with outdoor furniture and a charcoal and gas grill for outdoor dining, the perfect place to sit and relax.
Powell Lake is spring fed and great for fishing, boating, and swimming during the warm months and ice fishing during the winter. There is easy access to the ATV and snowmobile trails and many backcountry roads for a nice mo rning stroll or a bicycle ride. Our Place Up North is surrounded by the Hiawatha National Forest for hiking, biking, hunting, ATVing, and wildlife watching. Winter offers great snowmobiling with hundreds of miles of trails and tons of snow. Cross-country ski trails are n earby and there is ice climbing in the Pictured Rocks for the adventurous.
There are several nearby waterfalls that are unusually beautiful in the spring when the snow melts and the water is rushing over the rocky falls. The Pictured Rocks offers hiking trails or you can view them from the boat cruises. Rent a canoe or kayak and enjoy the waters of Lake Superior or take a lazy paddle down the AuTrain River.
