THINGS TO SEE AND DO
The lonely Crisp Point Lighthouse on the deserted shoreline of Lake Superior is only a 1-hour drive and can be combined with a trip to stunning Tahquamenon Falls. Stop by Oswald’s Bear Ranch, the largest bear ranch in the United States. See the bears in their large habitats and maybe there will be some playful cubs. Visit the Tahquamenon Logging Museum and learn about early logging in the Upper Peninsula.  Enjoy the night sky from the Lake Superior shoreline, so awesome when there are no city lights to distract from the beauty of the stars.

Looking for something more active? Rent a canoe at the North Store and paddle down the Two Hearted River, maybe fishing on the way. They also rent ATVs for exploring all the back roads. Enjoy fishing? Spring fed Muskallonge Lake has perch, pike, walleye, smallmouth bass, and panfish, great for your dinner.

The Deer Park Store is nearby and is open daily except Wednesday. The store carries groceries, dairy, fishing supplies, ice, etc. There is a coin operated Laundromat next door.
