1966 Bizzarrini 5300 GT SI Spyder
Prototype
Bizzarrini only produced 2 5300 GT SI Spyders; 1 in
1967 and 1 in 1968. It was a great opportunity for us to see
first hand how the Italian Craftsmen created the very rare
body. The 40 year old all aluminum body had some electrolyze
due to aluminum making contact with the steel structure.
With the help of the owner and his vast knowledge of
Bizzarrini and a collection of original photos, we were able
to finish this one-and-only prototype GT SI Spyder. We also
fabricated a new stainless steel exhaust system and chrome
trim.
Like so many of our projects, we do make dies to
recreate the detail found on the original panels. We
specialize in 1-off parts and projects.
