Vacation on the shore of Lake Independence, only 25 miles north of Marquette in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan.

Independence Cottage is located on the south shore of Lake Independence and offers a wonderful view of the Lake and the surrounding wilderness area. Enjoy swimming, boating, fishing, hiking, ATVing, gorgeous sunsets, and starry nights as you relax at the peaceful cottage.

Independence Cottage has 3 bedrooms and two bathrooms as well as a four-season porch with a door and a full-size hide-a-bed for extra guests.  The large living room has a bay window overlooking the lake, a TV/DVR, and a gas fireplace. There is a separate dining room and a complete kitchen with a dishwasher. There is a washer and dryer in the laundry area.

The master bedroom contains a queen bed with an adjoining bathroom The second bedroom has a full size bed and a twin bed while the third bedroom contains two twin beds. Linens and towels are provided, but please bring your own paper products.

There is a charcoal grill by the cottage for your outdoor cooking and a fire pit for evening campfires.

The cottage is close to the lake where kids of all ages will enjoy relaxing on the dock or in the water. Lake Independence is perfect for swimming, fishing, and water sports. Bring your water toys and fishing gear and have a great vacation by the lake. There is a boat ramp nearby at Perkins Park or one on Lake Superior.

Lake Independence is a great fishing lake and known for jumbo perch and northern pike as well as walleye and small mouth bass.  Anglers might also like to try fishing in some of the local streams in the area.

If you like to hike or take a leisurely walk, the Big Bay Pathway offers 4 loops of trails. These trails can also be used for mountain biking and cross-country skiing. Visit some of the area waterfalls or simply enjoy this beautiful spot in the Northwoods.

Independence Cottage has easy access to the ATV trails that traverse the rugged wilderness for some fun riding.

RATES Weekly: $1400 for two people 3-8 occupants $2450 per week Nightly: $200 per night for 2 people. (3-night minimum stay) 3-8 occupants $350 per night Cleaning Fee (for less than 5 night stay) $100 Pet Charge per animal. (Flat Fee) $100 Maximum Occupancy 8 guests
