Reviews
"Thank you for sharing Horizon Point Cottage with us. WE had a relaxing week wandering around the Keweenaw. Had a couple rainy days but also some beautiful sunny days. Hiked Bare Bluff & Montreal Falls, Estevant Pines, Horseshoe Bay Beech, Hunters Point and Gratiot Lake. Even with clouds the sunsets were beautiful. Had a young eagle join us on his perch wile we grilled burgers. This home was one of the best for amenities we've had when renting vacation homes." L&C P and T&J F, Ionia MI.

"The Keweenaw peninsula is gorgeous; Brockway Mountain Drive is not to be missed; Houghton has a wonderful Mineral Museum and is an attractive city. There are lovely homes and mansions left over from the mining and lumbering days. The best meal we had was at Fitzgerald's in Eagle River, where the dining room is right on Lake Superior. All in all we had a wonderful trip and were happy to return to this house. Highly recommend it!" Margo C

"Thanks for sharing your beautiful cottage with us! We really enjoyed our stay! Some of our favorite activities here were: playing games, collecting rocks, skipping rocks, having a fire on the beach, playing in the water, playing catch on the beach, watching movies and eating and resting on the deck. Around the area, we visited: The Jam Pot, Fort Wilkins, Brockway Mt., numerous waterfalls, hiking & sand dunes, Quincy Mine and shops. I am from the UP and enjoy bringing my family to visit." KF, Waupun, WI

"What a week! Great weather (mid 70's) w/a couple grey days in between. The house was amazing and allowed us all the relaxation we were seeking. Hours spent on the beach searching for the "perfect" stones along with peaceful sits along the shoreline listening to the waves meet the shoreline. Trips to Copper Harbor, visiting shops, state parks, overlooks and mines. All in all a Great Time was had by all. Thank you so much for allowing us the opportunity to experience your small slice of the Northern Michigan we all hold so close to our hearts." KF

About the Owner/Manager
We are Jerry and Nancy Rabe. (Jerry is from Lower Michigan, Nancy is from Ironwood, Michigan). We love the Keweenaw area and think it will capture your heart too! In 2006, our dream of having a place on Lake Superior became a reality. The location and beautiful setting will provide vacation memories for a lifetime. One of our favorite things to do is sit on the beach and watch the sunset - a close second is falling asleep to the sound of the waves. We'll share our secret spots too. We trust our guests with our dream home, and ask that they treat it gently, as if it were their own.
