Evergreen Rental Cottage

Evergreen Rental Cottage is a cozy two-bedroom smoke free cottage located 1 block south of Highway M-28 in the village of Christmas, just 5 miles west of Munising in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan.

Evergreen Cottage is air-conditioned and has two bedrooms with a queen-size bed in each room. The sunroom contains a double-size sleeper and two rollaway beds are available. Evergreen Cottage will sleep up to 6 guests or 8 at the maximum. Bed linens and towels are provided along with a starter of paper products. Bathroom with shower.

The living area has a gas fireplace, cable TV with a VCR/DVD combo player, and comfortable seating. The dining area seats 6 guests. The deck has patio furniture and a charcoal grill for outdoor cooking.

There is a complete kitchen with a stove, large refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker and cooking and dining utensils. A phone is available for local calls. Dial-up internet service and voice mail can be provided for a small additional charge.

Evergreen Cottage is surrounded by tall trees with a small stream running through the back yard that leads to Carr Lake and is large enough for a canoe or kayak. Enjoy the nice view of Carr Lake from the back yard. The cottage is located within walking distance of Lake Superior, gift shops, restaurants, and the casino.

Things to see and do while staying at Evergreen Cottage
Evergreen Cottage is conveniently located near sandy Lake Superior beaches. There is a beach at AuTrain just west of the cottage and on Sand Point in Munising, one of the top beaches in America according to the Weather Channel with nice sand, few people, and the cool crisp waters of Lake Superior.

Visit the Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore and enjoy the hiking trails, waterfalls, and overlooks. For a view from the water, boat cruises are available in Munising as well as excursions on the Shipwreck Tours in a glass-bottomed boat.

Hike, Bike, or 4-Wheel from your cabin door on the many area trails or back roads. ATV rentals in Christmas.

Grand Island: Ferry over for hiking, mountain bike riding, or bus tours. Bike rentals at the ferry dock. Bus tour of the island is available for those who would prefer to ride.

Fishing: There is a multitude of inland lakes and streams nearby in the Hiawatha National Forest for fishing and canoeing or take a charter fishing trip on Lake Superior

Golf at the Pictured Rocks 18-hole Golf Course in Munising, open to the public.

The Kewadin Casino in Christmas is within walking distance and has a restaurant and lounge.

Waterfalls: Many scenic ones within the local area. It's a day's fun to find them!

Canoe/Kayak/Pontoon Boats: Local rentals available for a full or half day on AuTrain Lake or the AuTrain River

Fall's Festive Colors are usually in their glory the first two weeks in October and are especially brilliant along the shores of lake Superior.
