The Ostrander's advertised the Inn as "A Good Place to Hunt and Fish". Ostrander sold the Inn to Vic Litzinger in 1955 and he ran it until 1970. It had not been open to the public for nearly 20 years when Bud Chamberlin discovered the secuded building while snowmobiling in the area. Bud spent almost two years restoring and decorating the building and the Old Forest Inn opened in October, 1990 as a Bed and Breakfast. The Inn has 11 guest rooms decorated with period furnishings and a Spa Room. 7 Rooms have a private bathroom with 2 whirlpool rooms. Chamberlin's Ole Forest Inn is open year round except during the month of April.
