Boulder Junction is a small town located in North Central Wisconsin surrounded by the 225,000 acre Northern Highland American Legion State Forest and almost 200 lakes for enjoying.
RECREATON: Boulder Junction is a wonderful spot for lovers of the outdoors.
BIKING: The Vilas County paved Bike Trail is over 45 miles and can be used by all types of bicycles. The trail goes from downtown Boulder Junction for many exciting rides through the forest and to the beach and picnic area at Crystal Lake.
SWIMMING: Crystal Lake has a beach for swimming, a campground, and a picnic area. . . a great spot for enjoying a beautiful day.
FISHING: Walleye, bass, brook trout, yellow perch, crappie and pan fish are plentiful in the many lakes surrounding Boulder Junction. Sport shop, guide service, and boat rentals are available in town.
Canoeing, Kayaking, Hunting, Hiking, Cross-Country Skiing, Snowshoeing, and Snowmobiling await the adventurous.
COMMUNITY PARK. This wonderful park is located behind the Boulder Junction Chamber of Commerce on the east side of Highway M. Tennis courts, playground equipment, skateboard park, baseball diamond, basketball court, and a picnic pavilion. Fun for the whole family.
WINTER PARK: Located ¼ mile east of Main Street on old Highway K. 1mile of cross-country ski trails. Regulation size ice skating rink, warming shelter, sledding hill, picnic pavilion, and bonfire pit.

BOULDER JUNCTION COMMUNITY CENTER AND LIBRARY offers a large meeting space and 2 public access computers. Open 24 hours daily.
BOULDER JUNCTION HISTORICAL MUSEUM is located next to the Community Center on Highway M. Open Memorial Day to Labor Day, Tuesday and Saturday from 10am to 2pm.

Dining in Manitowish Waters, 15 miles west of Boulder Junction, a nice ride through the forest.
