The Superior Cottage is a cozy two-bedroom rental cottage on the shores of Lake Superior in Munising, Michigan in the Upper Peninsula. The rental cottage is located only a couple blocks from the Shipwreck Tour, Kayak Tours of the Pictured Rocks, pontoon rentals, a public boat launch, and Muldoon’s pasties for a taste of the Upper Peninsula. Relax on the deck or on the lawn furniture by the lake and enjoy this wonderful view of Grand Island and Munising Bay.

The living area is comfortably furnished and has a flat screen TV with cable.  There is wireless internet throughout the home. The complete kitchen has what you need to prepare your meals and a dishwasher for quick cleanup.  Enjoy a wonderful view of Lake Superior as you relax at the dining table eating your meal or your favorite beverage.

The master bedroom is furnished with a king bed and the second bedroom as two twin beds. The bathroom has a shower. Linens and towels are furnished for our guests, but please bring your own paper products.

It’s only a few feet to Lake Superior and a sandy area for swimming or getting your feet wet. Lawn chairs and a swing invite you to relax in the fresh air or build a fire in the fire pit for your evening campfire. Wood can be purchased in Munising. A charcoal grill is available for your outdoor cooking. Dock rental is available. Please phone or e-mail for additional information.

Lots of parking for your trailers with easy access to the ATV and snowmobile trails. The Hillside Party Store is one bock from the cottage for gas and trail access. Snowmobile rentals in Munising.  Great cross country ski trails for skiing throughout the woods of the Hiawatha National Forest.

So many things to do in the Munising area that there is something for everyone; an enjoyable cruise around Grand Island, a sunset cruise of the Pictured Rocks, or the Shipwreck Tour. Photographers will find a great photo around every corner and golfers might like to try the Pictured Rocks Golf Course.  Take a kayak tour of the Pictured Rocks or rent a kayak for a peaceful paddle down the AuTrain River.  Beautiful waterfalls await you; some can be seen from your car while others are found on nearby trails.
