Rental Vacation Home on the the Cisco Chain of Lakes near Watersmeet, MI in the Southwestern Upper Peninsula of Michigan. The Woods and Water Chalet is located near the junction of US-2 and US-45 and only 9 miles north of Land O' Lakes, Wisconsin.

The Woods and Water Chalet is the perfect Northwoods retreat adjoining 1,000's of acres of public land in the Ottawa National Forest. Built in 2004, the chalet features 5 bedrooms with 3 bathrooms and will sleep up to 15 guests. This peaceful secluded setting is ideal for relaxing and enjoying the beauty of the woods and the waters of the north woods.

There is 600' of water frontage with a sand bottomed beach and a boat dock on a crystal clear lake for swimming, water sports, and fishing. Relax in the lawn chairs as you read your favorite book, swim in the clear spring-fed water, fish from the dock in front of the chalet, or catch a bit of sun. A canoe and 2 kayaks are included in the rental so you can enjoy a peaceful paddle on the lake. ATV and snowmobile trails are located just outside the door.

This comfortable vacation home features hardwood floors, air conditioning, and a great room overlooking the lake with a gas stone fireplace. Patio doors open onto a deck overlooking the lake. There is a Franklin wood-burning stove in the family room on the walk-out lower level with a large screen TV with Dish network and premium channels.

The chalet offers free wireless internet access for our guests. The complete kitchen contains full sized appliances, dishwasher, microwave, dishes, and cookware. There is a laundy room with a washer and dryer.

The Woods and Water Chalet has 5 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms.

The master bedroom is about 18 X 20, and has a king size bed with an en-suite bathroom with a tub and a shower.

Bedroom #2 has a king size bed and is about 14 X 14.

The 3rd bedroom is about 12 X 14 and it has a bunk bed and a crib.

The 4th bedroom is about 14 X 16, and it has a full size bed and twin size bunk beds.

The 5th bedroom is about 20 X 20, and it has 2 sets of 4 full size bunk beds.

There is also a sleeper sofa in the first floor family room. The is a very large couch in the walk-out lake level family room. with towels and linens supplied.

There are a total of 3 bathrooms, two complete with bathtub/shower and the 3rd is just a shower. We provide all towels and linen. Please bring your paper products.

The walkout lower level features a game room with a foosball table, darts, and a poker table . A kitchenette and a dining area offer additional room for your famiy.

The Woods and Water Chalet is surrounded by extensive outdoor decks with a screened porch. There is a barbeque grill for your outdoor cooking. Build your campfire in the outdoor firepit in front of the house and roast some hot dogs and marshmallows or just sit in front of the fire and enjoy the awesome night sky.

There are hiking trails nearby or enjoy a stroll down the back roads. Mountain bikers might like to try the Agonikak trail that starts at the Watersmeet Visitor Center and meanders for 11 miles through the Ottawa National Forest. ATV trails nearby. Canoe or kayak in the Sylvania Wilderness Recreation Area or visit Bond or Agate Falls, the casino, or explore the mysterious Paulding Light.

The snowmobile trail is less than 1 mile from the Woods and Water Chalet with easy trail access from the door. Roger's Bar and the Cisco Lake Resort are less than a 15-minute snowmobile ride away and Bent's Camp is a 30 minute cruise. Snowmobiles can be rented in Watersmeet at Headwaters Polaris.

For silent sports enthusiasts, there are hundreds of thousands of acres of the Ottawa National Forest to explore right out the door. The Sylvania Wilderness area is a short car ride from the Chalet where you will find groomed cross-country ski trails. Try out some snowshoes in the woods or go ice fishing right in front of the cottage.

This is the gateway to Big Snow Country for some great riding with hundreds of miles of groomed trails. For the downhill skier, there are ski hills less than an hour away from the chalet.

Sorry, No Pets

A deposit (50% of the rental rate) will be taken when the reservation is booked, with the remaining balance due at least 1 month before your arrival date. Your deposit is fully refundable up to 30 days before you arrival date. After 30 days prior to your arrival date, you would forfeit 50% of your deposit. There is a $500.00 Security deposit to cover any damages that will be returned within 1 week after the rental.
