Vixen's Inn Vacation Home is located just off Highway M-28 in the village of Christmas, in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. Vixen's Inn is within walking distance of Lake Superior, restaurants, shopping, and the casino. The town of Munising, the spectacular Pictured Rocks Lakeshore, Grand Island, and the beach at Sand Point is only 3 miles east of the vacation home.

Vixen's Inn Vacation Home offers two rental options. The basic rental is a fully furnished three-bedroom home with a full kitchen and cable TV. The expanded rental offers two additional bedrooms including a party room with a bar and gas fireplace for your larger group. The expanded rental will sleep up to 12 guests. There is one bathroom with a tub/shower combination.

The interior of Vixen's Inn has a tongue and groove knotty pine interior and is comfortably furnished including 2 cable TV sets. The three-bedroom rental offers a queen-size bed in each bedroom.

The expanded rental offers two additional bedrooms with a queen-size bed in one bedroom and a king-size bed in the other as well as two double-size sofa sleepers. The party room offers a gas fireplace, a bar with 5 stools, and a table with 6 chairs. The perfect room for your family or group to enjoy.

Vixen's Inn is centrally located in the village of Christmas, right next door to Foggy's Steak House or you can dine at the Casino across the highway. The village offers shopping in quaint shops with a Christmas theme, or there are a variety of stores in Munising.

The beautiful Bay Furnace Park on Lake Superior is within walking distance. An ideal spot for a picnic or just sitting and watching the many faces of Lake Superior.

Summer guests will find a wonderful sand beach in Munising on Sand Point Road with a view of Munising Bay and Grand Island.     This beach was named one of the "Five Top Summer Beaches in America" by the Weather Channel.

There is also a beautiful sandy beach on Lake Superior just 8 miles west on M-28 in Au Train. Relax and sit in the sand, build a sand castle, or wade in the refreshing waters of Lake Superior. Lake Superior waters are cool, but both beaches offer a gorgeous sandy spot for sitting in the sand or launching your kayak.

AuTrain Lake offers a sand beach at the Hiawatha Forest Campground, a few miles south of Lake Superior. The beach, picnic tables, playground, and the Songbird hiking trail are all open for day use.

Canoes and kayaks can be rented for a paddle down the AuTrain River or you can rent a pontoon or fishing boat for use on AuTrain Lake.

Vixen's Inn is an ideal location for visiting the unique Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore and the many great attractions of Munising and the Hiawatha National Forest. Wonderful hiking trails in the Pictured Rocks and on Grand Island where you can tour by foot, bike, or bus. Bike rentals are offered at the ferry landing. Enjoy the many area waterfalls, some can be seen from your car or are just a short walk, while others take you on a nice trail through the forests.

View the shipwrecks in Munising Bay on the Glass Bottom Boat Shipwreck Tours, or take the Pictured Rocks Cruise. Go SCUBA diving in the Alger Underwater Preserve or try your luck charter fishing.

Cross Country skiers will love the lighted trail at Bay Furnace Park in Christmas, just a few blocks north of Vixen's Inn It's absolutely wonderful to ski through the woods with the moon and stars shining overhead. There are also exciting ski trails at Valley Spur or in the Pictured Rocks. Take a ride on a dog sled, with kennels located only a few miles from the cottage or there is ice climbing for the adventurous.
