The Village Artisans of Garden is a delightful art gallery displaying a wide variety of handmade arts and crafts created by over 40 local area artists. The Gallery is located on the main street in the town of Garden, 8 miles south of Highway US-2, on Highway 183 in the south central Upper Peninsula of Michigan.

The Garden Gallery is open daily from mid-May through mid-October for visitors to browse this wonderful collection of artwork created by people living in the area around Garden. Stop by and enjoy these beautiful works of art or pick up that one-of-a-kind piece of art for your home or as a gift.

The Gallery offers paintings created in a variety of media, photography, pen & ink drawings, and pastels. Enjoy the unique pottery, some with pressed foliage. The Gallery has a nice collection of candles, weaving, quilts, turned wood bowls, baskets, and jewelry, including items created with silver art clay and wire wrapped jewelry. Also included are blown glass items, painted glass, stained glass, pressed flower art, soaps, and metal work created by talented local artists.

The Garden Gallery offers unique ornaments, fabric crafts including warm winter hats and tote bags, quilts, decoys, wood carvings, dream catchers, gourds, walking sticks, and a variety of note cards for any occasion.

The Garden Gallery offers homemade jams made with locally grown fruits,
and a collection of interesting books written by local authors.

The Village Artisans enjoy sponsoring art classes, workshops, music and drama productions, demonstrations and hold yearly events to raise money for summer art and drama classes for area children.

The Garden Art Gallery was created by a group of local artists in 1983 and has been offering a showcase of local art for all to enjoy for over 25 years. The original Art Gallery was located in a 100 year-old building that was replaced by a replica of this historic building in 1991.

Directions: The Gallery is located between Manistique and Escanaba on Highway US-2. Turn south on Highway M-183 at Garden Corners, 16 miles west of Manistique or 37.5 miles east of Escanaba,. Go south on M-183 for 8 miles to the town of Garden on the Garden Peninsula. The Gallery is located at 6367 State Street, (Highway M-183).
