A Little Travelin' Inn is located 2 miles south of downtown Marquette near Lake Superior in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. A Little Travelin' Inn is conveniently located near Northern Michigan University, the Superior Dome, the Olympic Education Center, Marquette General Hospital, several museums, libraries, galleries, unique shops, and fine restaurants. You will find biking, walking, and snowmobile trails right across the street from the Travelin' Inn along the shores of Lake Superior. South Beach on Lake Superior is just a few blocks north of the Travelin' Inn where you will find a sandy beach, restrooms, volleyball court, and a playground. There is a boat ramp at the Lower Harbor. Stop by the Marquette Maritime Museum and viisit the Lighthouse, now open to the public.
Enjoy boating, sea kayaking, scuba diving, hiking, mountain biking, golfing, photography, waterfall tours, and special events in the Marquette area. Sawyer International Airport is only 15 minutes away and the Ojibwa Casino is just a few miles southeast of the Inn. Winter brings lots of snow to Marquette County and snowmobilers can ride from the door of the Travelin' Inn to the snowmobile trail with easy access to the network of groomed snowmobile trails. Ride east towards Munising and the Hiawatha National Forest or northwest to Big Bay for some fun in the Huron Mountains. Cross-country groomed ski trails are nearby and the cabin is conveniently located near Marquette Mountain for downhill skiing and snowboarding.
