Campground and Rental Cabins on the Shores of Lake Superior in the Keweenaw Peninsula.
Sunset Bay RV Resort, Campground, and Cabins is located on Five Mile Point Road, 20 miles north of Hancock, MI in the Western Upper Peninsula of Michigan.
Sunset Bay Resort is situated on 70 acres of wooded land on a picturesque point right on the shores of Lake Superior. 40 campsites and three rental log cabins are right by the lake for enjoying the sandy swimming beaches, picking agates, gazing at the night sky, and watching awesome sunsets. There are miles of hiking trails along old logging roads for a nice walk through the woods or you can walk along the beach and do a little rock hounding. You might even see a freighter passing by.
RV campsites have full hook-ups with electricity and water and there are several tent sites. Two bath houses with updated restrooms and showers, pay phones, ice, and a dump station. The laundry has 3 washers and 2 gas dryers. Fire pit for campfires and roasting marshmallows.
Sunset Bay RV Resort is only a short drive to restaurants, shopping, and attractions in the Keweenaw Peninsula. Tour the Sand Hills Lighthouse or visit the Eagle Harbor Lighthouse and Museums. Take the scenic Brockway Mountain Drive, visit Ft. Wilkins Historic State Park in Copper Harbor, the CopperTown Museum in Calumet, or tour the old Quincy Copper Mine.
Pets are welcome but must be on a leash and under your control.
