Sunset Awhile is a cozy two-bedroom log cabin on the shores of South Manistique Lake, only 65 miles west of the Mackinac Bridge in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. If you’re looking for peace, solitude, beautifu l evenings with westerly sunsets, a three season porch for view, on a private 100 foot shoreline....you may want to check this out. 

This is a great location for visiting nearby attractions surrounded by the beauty of nature.
Visit Seul Choix Lighthouse, the Seney Wildlife Area, and the Tahquamenon Logging Museum.
Canoe the Manistique River, take a stroll in the woods, golf, or photograph that unusual bird.

The living room at Sunset Awhile is comfortably furnished and contains a flat screen TV with a DVD player and a sleeper sofa for extra guests. Enjoy the view of the lake and surrounding area from the four-season enclosed porch. The kitch en has a stove, refrigerator, dishes, utensils, pots & pans, a toaster, microwave, and coffee maker.

There are two bedrooms and a bathroom with a tub/shower combination. One bedroom has a queen bednwith windows overlooking overlooking the lake. The other bedroom has a double bed. Bed linens, towels, and paper products are included for our gues ts.

There is lawn furniture by the lake, a dock, and a rowboat for rowing on South Manistique Lake. If you would like a larger boat, rentals are available in the town of Curtis. Cook your dinner outside on the gas or charcoal grill and eat at the pi cnic table in the yard. There is a fire pit by the water for your evening campfires and roasting marshmallows.

Enjoy a day trip to several nearby attractions such as the Seney Wildlife Refuge and the Seul Choix Lighthouse Museum and dwelling where you can climb the lighthouse tower for a great view of Lake Michigan. The Newberry Country Club a few miles north of the cabin  is open to the public for golfing and dining.

The town of Curtis is just a few miles north of Sunset Awhile for shopping and dining.  The sport shop offers fishing gear and rental equipment and you will find nearby rivers and trout streams for canoeing and fishing. South Manist ique Lake is perfect for swimming, water sports, boating, and fishing so bring your gear and enjoy a wonderful vacation at Sunset Awhile.

Weekly Rentals Saturday to Saturday: $950 per week for 4 guests
Additional Guests: $35 per guest per week. Maximum of 6 Occupancy
Deposit: 50% ($475.00)
Off-Season Rates: 4-day minimum. Please call for rates
Check-in: 3pm
Check-out: 9:30am
