The cabins at Running Bear Resort have new paint, comfortable furniture, Dish TV,
wireless internet, and air conditioning units. The kitchens have new
appliances, a coffee maker, a microwave, and cooking and
eating utensils. All cabins have a bathroom with a
shower.
Towels, linens, and paper products furnished for our guests.
Daily housekeeping service is available for a small
additional charge.

Running Bear Resort has 14 acres of wooded property
and is surrounded on 3 sides by the Ottawa National Forest
so you can enjoy exciting outdoor adventures right outside
the door of your cabin where you will find hiking, ATV, and
snowmobile trails. ATV and Snowmobile Rentals are available
at Headwaters Polaris in Watersmeet.
Bond Falls Flowage, just above Bond Falls, is an angler's delight for year round fishing. The boat ramp is just a few miles from the resort and the flowage offers with excellent boating and year round fishing.
The Park, just a short distance past the Bond Falls Outpost on Bond Falls Road, offers a nice sandy beach with picnic tables, grills, and a playground for summer fun and swimming. Several picnic and sandy swimming areas are nestled in the woods along the shoreline. A delightful spot to spend the day.
Nearby Bond Falls is one of the Upper Peninsula's most picturesque waterfalls with a nice viewing and picnic area. The new road to the bottom of the falls and the new boardwalks make Bond Falls easily accessible for most visitors. The 19,000 acre Sylvania Wilderness Area is just a few miles west of Watersmeet and is known for its unique fishing, sparkling clear waters for canoeing & kayaking, hiking trails, cross-country skiing trails, and outstanding scenery. The town of Watersmeet and Bruce Crossing are nearby for shopping and golfing, and there is a casino in Watersmeet. Don't forget to explore the mysterious Paulding Light, only a short distance from the resort, as it rises out of the forest and hovers for a few minutes almost every evening as darkness falls.
