The Seney National Wildlife Refuge is a favorite with bird watchers and other wildlife lovers. The mouth of the Thompson Creek and the Manistique River are hot spots for salmon and steelhead fishing in season. Seney offers a drive-through tour, biking tour and walking tour of the wildlife refuge or you can canoe or kayak through the refuge. Seul Choix Lighthouse, 672 N. Seul Choix Point marks a tiny harbor located on the north shore of Lake Michigan. This harbor was the last stop for refuge before coming to the Straits of Mackinac, some sixty miles to the west. The Lighthouse, Museum and Gift Shop are open from Memorial Day through mid-October, seven days a week, from 10 am to 6 pm. The tower is open for climbing and a wonderful view of Lake Michigan.
