Kayak and Canoe rentals available as an agent of Uncle Ducky Outdoors, LLC. This is Munising’s only waterfront motel. Vacation cabins are also available. Please check out their website at: www.sunsetmotelonthebay.com.
Single and Double Kayaks and Canoes are available for rental. Paddles and Life Preservers are included. Additionally, guided kayak trips to the Pictured Rocks and Grand Island are available through Uncle Ducky Outdoors.
If you are camping at Little Beaver Lake in the Pictured Rocks and need a kayak or canoe, Sunset Motel on the Bay is right on the road from Munising. We do take reservations on rentals of 8 hours or more.

Offering Kayak and Canoe Rentals as an Agent of Uncle Ducky Outdoors, LLC. This is the spot to rent a single or tandem kayak or canoe to paddle along the shores of the many small lakes and rivers in the area. Among the local lakes nearby are Little Beaver Lake and Kingman Lake in the Pictured Rocks National Lake Shore Park, Grand Sable Lake, Cusino Lake, Trappers Lake, Driggs Lake, and Twin Lake. Guided Trips are available with notice.
We have 10ft.single recreational kayaks, 14 ft. tandem kayaks, and 15 and 16 ft. Old Town Canoes are also available. Paddles and Life preservers are included in the rental prices. Pads and straps for car topping are available for a small fee.
Rentals are available for as little as 4 hours or you may go for up to 1 week. If you have a large party, no worries, or if we don’t have the exact boat you are looking for we can possibly bring one from our base in Christmas. Reservations are encouraged but only for a minimum of 8 hours. Group sizes of up to 20 individuals normally can be accommodated as long as reservations are made a few days in advance.
