Canoe and Kayak Rentals Van Riper State Park Craig Lake State Park Lake Michigamme

If you are planning a camping trip to either the Van Riper State Park, Craig Lake State Park, or just looking for canoes or kayaks to rent in the Lake Michigamme or Western Marquette County area they can be found at the concession stand at the Van Riper Beach or by calling  Uncle Ducky Outdoors, LLC at 906-228-5447.  Rentals are available from Memorial Day Weekend through September.

The concessioner at the Van Riper State Park (Taste of Chicago) is an acting agent of Uncle Ducky Outdoors, LLC in Marquette where additional information may be obtained about guided trips and other services available. Camping supplies such as tents, sleeping pads, water purifiers, stoves, and other necessary camping equipment is available to rent if needed.

At Craig Lake we keep 2 canoes for rental however paddles, PFD’s, and the keys must be obtained from the concession stand at Van Riper or from Uncle Ducky Outdoors at 321 South Lakeshore Blvd. in Marquette. This makes the delivery and pick up of the boats much less expensive for our customers.

At the Van Riper State Park Beach we keep a minimum of 4 single kayaks, 2 double kayaks, and 2 canoes for rental. We can accommodate groups up to 20 individuals in size if prior reservations are made. Reservations are accepted for a minimum period of 8 hours by calling 906-228-5447.

2012 Rental Rates

Camping Package- 2 Man Tent, 2-Sleeping Pads, Water Filter, Butane Stove, 2-Mess Kits.  $45 per overnight.
Note: Camping Package must be pre-arranged and can be pick-up at the concession stand at Van Riper State Park
or Uncle Ducky Outdoors, in Marquette.

The above prices do not include 6% Michigan Use Tax.

Canoes and Kayaks can be rented at the Concession Stand at Van Riper State Park or
call Uncle Ducky Outdoors, LLC at 906-228-5447 or 877-228-5447 for a reservation or with any questions.

Rentals are available from Memorial Day weekend through September.
