Vacation on Big Manistique Lake at Crosswind Cottage in Curtis, MI
only 65 miles from the Mackinac Bridge in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan.

 

Crosswind Cottage is a three bedroom rental cottage located on gently sloping property with easy access to the sand bottomed beach and all the fun a vacation on Big Manistique Lake has to offer. Big Manistique Lake is ideal for fishing, swimming, and water sports of all kinds. Bring your boat or the Fish and Hunt Shop in Curtis rents a variety of watercraft.

Crosswind Cottage offers a complete kitchen, a laundry with a washer & dryer, and the living area has satellite TV with VCR & DVD players and a video library. Sit around the wood burning fireplace and listen to the crackling fire while you watch your favorite show.

There is a queen size bed in two bedrooms while the third bedroom has bunk beds and a twin bed.
The cottage has two bathrooms with a tub/shower combination in one bath and a shower in the other.
Linens and towels are provided for our guests.

The screened porch has chairs for relaxing and there is also outdoor furniture by the lake. Spring of 2009 will bring a new dock by the 100' shoreline for sunning, sitting, or docking your boat.

Cook your dinner outside on the gas grill, watch a breathtaking sunset, then gather around an evening campfire at our fire pit.

Enjoy all the wonderful recreational opportunities the woods and waters of the Curtis area has to offer.
Golf at area courses, go biking, hiking, fishing, ATV'ing or just relax and rejuvenate yourself in this peaceful setting.
Large parking area for your trailers.

Crosswind Cottage is only 2 miles from downtown Curtis, a quaint village offering restaurants, groceries, and shopping.

For those who wish to explore the area the Seney National Wildlife Refuge is just a few miles west of the Cottage. Take the 7 mile Wildlife Drive and watch for the residents of the refuge, visit the interesting Visitors Center with a variety of exhibits, and see who is floating on the ponds. The refuge can be toured by bike or canoe with rentals in Germfask.

Lighthouse lovers might enjoy visiting the Seul Choix Lighthouse on Lake Michigan or the Crisp Point Lighthouse Tower on Lake Superior.

During the fall, come for our stunning fall color season. Hunt for small game, bear, waterfowl and deer.

Winter at Crosswinds Cottage

During the winter, try our hundreds of miles of groomed trails for snowmobiling, cross-country skiing and snowshoeing. You can also go ice fishing for Walleye in December and Northern Pike and Perch in February right outside the cottage door.

Crosswind Cottage has easy access by the side of the road to the main trails.
Don't have a sled? Snowmobile rentals in Curtis.
