Cozy Cabin is a 3-bedroom log cabin with a loft situated on Portage Lake in the Keweenaw Peninsula. The cabin is about 7 minutes east of Hancock and conveniently located near Michigan Tech University, Finlandia University, shopping, sightseeing, events, festivals, historical buildings, museums, and outstanding outdoor recreation.

Cozy Cabin has an open concept living area with a nice view of the Portage Canal. The living area has a log interior with comfortable furnishings, a gas fireplace, and a 32" flat screen TV with VCR & DVD players. The complete kitchen has full size appliances, a microwave, toaster, coffee maker and a dishwasher. The laundry area contains a washer and dryer.

There are three bedrooms. One bedroom is on the main floor and two bedrooms are on the lower level. There is a ladder leading up to the loft that is furnished with two twin beds. There is Restonic bedding in every bedroom. The Cozy Cabin will comfortably sleep up to 6 guests.

Cozy Cabin has two bathrooms: One has a Jacuzzi tub with a sauna and the second bathroom has a shower.

Cozy Cottage offers a gas grill for your cookouts.
Linens and towels are furnished for our guests.
Please bring your own paper products.

The shoreline on Portage Lake has a nice swimming area with a sand bottom and a dock for mooring your boat or just sitting on the lawn furniture and relaxing. The bunkhouse can be used as a changing house.

Try your luck fishing, or enjoy boating and sightseeing on the Portage Canal. Wave runners and jet boats can be rented at Copper Country Rental in Calumet for some fun on the water. They will deliver to the cottage or the marina on Portage Lake.

The Bunkhouse by the water is nice for sitting, storing your gear, or a changing room.	Our garage is available for your car, ATVs, or snowmobiles.

Cozy Cabin is conveniently located near all the interesting attractions and recreational opportunities the Houghton & Hancock Area has to offer. Enjoy special events, festivals, museums, and shopping. There are great hiking and mountain biking trails and exciting paddling adventures on Portage Lake.

Cozy Cabin is only 1/4 mile from the ATV and snowmobile trails that lead throughout the Keweenaw and connect to the Bill Nicholls trail south to the Ontonagon area. ATVs and snowmobiles can be rented nearby.

The Keweenaw Peninsula has some of the finest and most brilliant fall colors in the Midwest with breathtaking views around every corner. Don't forget your camera.

While vacationing at Cozy Cabin, you can enjoy day trips around the Keweenaw Peninsula where you might like to visit historic sites, copper mines, and view the beautiful scenery in the area.

Downhill skiers and snowboarders will find Mount Ripley just a few minutes from the cabin and cross-country skiers will have lots of fun on the Michigan Tech Trails or the Swedetown Trails in Calumet.

Rates:
Weekly: $1,000 per week
Saturday to Saturday rentals preferred.
Nightly Rates if available: $165 per night with a 3 night minimum
Additional $100 cleaning fee after 3-night minimum stay.
Maximum of 6 Guests.
