The Buckhorn Resort is located on Trail 7, one of the many groomed snowmobile and ORV trails connecting to the network of county trails and the over 2,500 miles of trails criss-crossing the Upper Peninsula. Snowmobile and ATV rentals are available through our resort.
If you are a cross country skier or mountain biker, the Valley Spur trails are just minutes away. The Buckhorn also is horse friendly, only a half-mile from the Oakwood Trail system. Munising has over 250 miles of snowmobile trails, cross-country skiing trails from 2 to 12 miles in length, many beautiful waterfalls, scuba diving at the Alger Underwater Preserve, an 18 hole golf course, swimming, boating, hiking, hunting and fishing. Canoe the AuTrain River (rentals available in AuTrain). Nearby attractions are Grand Island, Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore, the Glass Bottom Boat Shipwreck Tours, the Pictured Rocks Boat Cruises, and the Christmas Casino.
