Beachcomber’s Cottage is located on the shores of Lake Superior 15 miles east of Marquette Michigan in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. The two-bedroom cottage is nestled in a private woodsy setting surrounded by stately whispering pines. A short, cobblestone path leads you to the expansive, white sugar-sand beach, perfect for sunning, strolling, or for taking a refreshing swim.

The kitchen is complete with refrigerator, electric stove, microwave, and coffee maker, along with dishes, cookware, and utensils. Amenities include flat screen TV, DVD player, and telephone.

The cottage can accommodate up to four people. Charming and comfortable, it has everything you need for your stay – one bedroom with a queen bed, the other with two twin beds, and a bathroom with a contemporary shower enclosure. Linens and a basic set of towels are provided, but please bring extra towels for the beach.

You’ll enjoy staying at the secluded two bedroom cottage with knotty pine interior, hardwood floors throughout, and an attached deck for relaxing in the outdoors. A second deck sits above the beach dune with views overlooking Lake Superior and the spectacular sunsets over Shot Point to the west. It’s just right for enjoying your morning cup of coffee or even watching the stars come out at night.

Beachcomber’s Cottage is conveniently located 15 miles east of Marquette and 26 miles west of Munising, a perfect location for enjoying many of the wonderful attractions and outstanding recreation the area has to offer.  Marquette offers dining, shopping, and entertainment as well as hiking trails, a golf course, casino, lighthouse, and several interesting museums. Launch your kayak or canoe from the beach or use the cottage for a starting point for your woodland bicycle explorations.

Take a day trip east to Munising and enjoy the wild and beautiful Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore where you can hike above the cliffs, kayak along the shoreline, or relax and enjoy the breathtaking scenery on the ever-popular Pictured Rocks Cruise or the Shipwreck Cruise. Visit the waterfalls, hike or bike on Grand Island, rent a canoe for a peaceful paddle down the AuTrain River, or rent a sea kayak to view the Pictured Rocks from the water.
