Have a fun vacation in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan at the AuTrain Lake Retreat: Vacation Cottage and Rental Home on the shores of AuTrain Lake just a few miles from Munising and the Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. Both vacation lodgings have two bedrooms, comfortable furnishings, a wood-burning fireplace, Dish TV, Wi-Fi, a deck for relaxing and enjoying the view. Sand bottomed beach for swimming and water fun. AuTrain Lake is great for fishing, swimming, water sports, kayaking, and boating.

AuTRAIN LAKE RETREAT COTTAGE
The AuTrain Lake Retreat offers two bedrooms and a comfortably furnished living area with TV and a fieldstone wood-burning fireplace.  The windows in the enclosed screened porch can be opened to admit the wonderful summer breeze on those warm days. The kitchen has full size appliances, a toaster, microwave, coffee maker, and just what you need for preparing your meals. There is a gas grill outside for grilling a delicious meal and a fire pit for your campfires under the stars.

The two bedrooms have a queen bed in each bedroom and a chest of drawers. There is a bathroom with a shower. Bed linens, towels, and paper products are furnished for our guests.

AuTRAIN LAKE RETREAT HOUSE
AuTrain Lake Retreat House is located next door to the cottage and has two bedrooms with a loft. The living room has a wood burning fieldstone fireplace, Dish TV, and Wi-Fi. The kitchen has full size appliances, a double sink, a snack bar, and what you need for cooking and dining.

There are two bedrooms on the main floor with a bedroom in the loft. One main floor bedroom has a king bed and the other has a double bed. The loft contains two full beds, a rollaway for extra guests, and a half-bath for your convenience. There is a bathroom on the main floor with a shower.  Bed linens, towels and paper products are furnished for our guests.

The laundry room contains a washer and dryer for guests to use. Nice deck on the front of the house with outdoor furnishings for relaxing and enjoying this beautiful setting overlooking AuTrain Lake.

ENJOY YOUR VISIT TO AuTRAIN, MICHIGAN

There is a nice flat area leading to AuTrain Lake where you can sit and relax and enjoy this wonderful view of the wilderness of the Hiawatha National Forest. The beach has a sand bottom and is perfect for swimming and wading in the water.  A 15’ boat with is included in the rental for boating on the lake and fishing. 

The AuTrain area is conveniently located to many area attractions including the Pictured Rocks, Grand Island, boat cruises, and several waterfalls. Outdoor recreation is outstanding with kayaking, canoeing, hiking, biking, and ATVing.

You might like to take a stroll on the Songbird Trail, located at the boat landing on AuTrain Lake. Tapes are available at the grocery store in Au Train so you can recognize the birds by their songs.  Shopping, dining, canoe & kayak rentals, ATV rentals, and a casino are nearby.

The AuTrain Lake Retreat is open from May 1st through November 1st.
