The "Art Show in the Woods"

The 36th Annual Spread Eagle,Wisconsin Art Show will be held on July 19, 2009.

The show is located at The ChuckWagon, (the Historic Old Log Cabin), in Spread Eagle Wisconsin on Highway US 2, 7 miles northwest of Iron Mountain, Michigan.

Come out and see a juried showcase of original art and fine crafts featuring artists and artisans from
Wisconsin, the Upper Peninsula, Florida, Montana, Minnesota, and Texas.
The show is held from 10 am to 4 pm (central time). Rain or Shine.

Enjoy these beautiful works of art with special booths the children will enjoy.
Food and beverages available during the day at the outdoor cook-out or inside the Chuckwagon.
Be sure to try the brats and the corn-on-the-cob cooked on the outdoor grill.

Artist Joanne Simpson, formerly from Iron Mountain and now living in Montana,
will be featuring her watercolors, batik on rice paper, and beaded jewelry

Oil & Watercolor Artist Lauri Sucharda, Full Moon Studio, in Pt. Washington, WI
Many paintings are painted en plein air, which is a french term for painting on site, out doors.
  Lauri also paints from sketches and photographs in her studio.
Enjoy her beautiful paintings of gardens or flowers, they are a metaphor for growth and renewal.

Dave uses naturally shed antlers that are selected from all over North America for his carvings. Fine detail carving tools are used to achieve each unique Eagle, a coat of clear enamel is then applied to finish the carving.
