The AmericInn Lodge & Suites of Calumet is located 11 miles north of Houghton/Hancock in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. Conveniently located near Michigan Tech University, Finlandia University, downhill and cross-country skiing, special events, and for enjoying a wide variety of attractions and recreation in the Keweenaw Peninsula.
The AmericInn of Calumet is located just 1 block west of Highway US-41 in downtown Calumet and offers 67 comfortable guest rooms and suites, a complimentary hot, home-style AmericInn Perk breakfast, and an indoor heated swimming pool, whirlpool, and sauna.

The AmericInn of Calumet offers a wide variety of guest rooms and suites to accommodate travelers visiting the Calumet area. We offer standard king and queen guest rooms; one and two room suites, some with a whirlpool tub; a family suite that sleeps up to 5 people; and our fireplace suite with Jacuzzi tub. We have wheelchair accessible rooms and suites available.
All of our guest rooms and suites feature high-speed wireless internet access, Flat-screen 32" satellite TV, coffee makers for tea and coffee, clock radios, hair dryers, and free local calls.
Our suites feature microwaves, mini-refrigerators, and some have a sofa sleeper. There are laundry facilities available for our guests.
We offer a variety of choices to get your day started including Belgian waffles, fresh baked muffins, doughnuts, bagels, & English muffins, yogurt, a variety of cereals, fruit, juice, & milk. Our delicious AmericInn Perk Coffee is available in our lobby during the day and evening hours.
Our indoor heated salt-water pool, hot tub, and sauna is ideal for relaxing after a busy day exploring the Keweenaw Peninsula, enjoying events, or conducting your business.

Enjoy the outstanding snowfall in the Keweenaw Peninsula. The AmericInn of Calumet is right on the snowmobile trail with a large parking lot for your trailers and is only a short distance to the Swedetown cross-country ski trails. Skiers will be able to get their skis ready in our ski-wax room at the Inn.
Downhill skiers will find our location convenient for skiing at Mt. Ripley in Hancock or at Mt. Bohemia, north of the Inn near Lac La Belle. Our large parking lot will hold your trailers and we have cold-weather hook-ups. Snowmobile rentals nearby
Historic Calumet is in the midst of the Keweenaw National Historic Park, a series of several historic sites commemorating the heritage of copper mining in the Keweenaw Peninsula and the people who lived here.
The AmericInn of Calumet is within walking distance to the downtown area for dining and shopping and close to some of the historic sites, such as historic churches, the Calumet Theater, and the Firefighters Museum. Visit the Coppertown USA Museum near the Inn to see the huge piece of copper and to learn about the areas copper mining heritage.
While staying in historic Calumet you might like to visit the area lighthouses, copper mines, waterfalls, and the exciting Lake Superior shoreline . . . gorgeous any time of day or night. Take the Brockway Mountain Drive, one of Michigan's most scenic drives, for an awesome view of Lake Superior and the surrounding countryside. Fall colors are fabulous and our huge winter snowfall beckons winter lovers of all ages.
